Live Correspondent: Speakers here stressed on acquiring more expertise and knowledge on information and communication technology (ICT) in reaching services to the people’s doorsteps. The opinion came the day-long district level ‘Innovation Circle and Social Media Dialogue’ held at conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari on Monday.
The Nilphamari district administration arranged the event under cooperation of the Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari Md Zakir Hossain attended as the chief guest with Additional District Magistrate (ADM) and Head of the District ICT Division Anwar Imam in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioners of Nilphamari, Upazila Nirbahi Officers and Upazila Chairmen of six upazilas, heads of different government departments and entrepreneurs of union digital centres, civil society members and local journalists were present.
ADM Anwar Imam discussed different issues such as the progress and prospect in nurturing of innovation culture, exemplary experiences in providing civic services using social media, services of union digital centres, prevention of child marriage, achievements of Nilphamari District Innovation Team and future Annual Action Plan.
