A High-Tech park named “Sheikh Hasina Institute of Information Technology and Hi-Tech Park” will soon be constructed on the bank of River Padma, said State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak on Saturday.
The State Minister made the statement while speaking at an annual conference of Poura unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of ruling Awami League, in Shibchar area of Madaripur.
“The ICT-based employment would be created for new generation with the construction of hi-tech park,” he said.
“Besides, the global IT experts would come here and involve themselves in IT research,” added the State Minister.
The state minister said that the government has already set up 5,500 Sheikh Rasel Digital Labs over one lakh educational institutes across the country for four crore students to provide IT education to them.
Palak also said that some 15,000 more Sheikh Rasel Digital Labs would be set up across the country.
28 more It-parks are being constructed in different places across the country for creating employment of those youths educated on digital technology, highlighted the State Minister.
General Secretary of the Awami League Parliamentary Party Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, MP, was present as the chief guest of the function.
