Live Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday warned the heads of country’s educational institutions saying, ‘The educational institutions should not be put off indefinitely for any rate. ‘It should not be an indefinite strike in the educational institutions for any of the reasons and it is the responsibility of the institutions concerned,’ he added.
The Minister came up with the comments while addressing a program arranged on the occasion of the 69th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League, held at the Dhaka University campus today.
The Minister also the Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, said, ‘It is a sinister trend in the country’s institutions to observe strikes for various reasons.’
‘We have organizational actions against the unlawful acts in the institutions and have also administrative steps to protect, criminals should be handed over to the police but institutions should not be closed for any rate,’ he warned pointing to separate clash incidents among the students in the educational institutions.
BCL’s 69th founding anniversary is being observed across the country on Wednesday (today).
