Live Correspondent: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday alleged that the government is using the issue of militancy for political purposes.
The BNP spokesperson came up with the allegation while speaking to journalists after paying tribute to late president Ziaur Rahman’s grave in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Expressing his doubt whether due measures are being taken against the militancy, Fakhrul said that the issue of militancy is still a mystery as conflicts are being found between the statements of RAB and police.
“A quarter is working to establish militancy in Bangladesh. I think the issue is not investigated properly. So, militancy is still remaining as a mystery,” he added.
